Nigeria's massive gin market was dominated by traditional, unflavored options like Gordon's and Best, leaving little room for innovation. As only the second flavoured entrant in the category, Imperial Blue needed to break through the noise. The challenge was twofold: stretch a brand name traditionally associated with masculine whisky into an inclusive, modern spirit, while appealing equally to young men and women.
Strategic thinking: The insight — celebrate the collective optimism of Naija youth culture. Rather than competing on heritage or formal serve rituals, we positioned the new lemongrass & citrus blend as an expressive, cosmopolitan lifestyle choice. By focusing on shared joy, inter-gender socialising, and vibrant positivity, we turned a flavour launch into a movement about living "Gintastic."
Creative solution: A bold, pop-art visual identity driven by saturated tropical palettes (electric yellow, cyan, and warm citrus) and stylized group illustrations. Expressive typography and playful messaging ("live GINTASTIC!", "live LEGENDARY") celebrate Lagos nightlife and day-party culture. The result bridges the gender gap, modernizes botanical cues, and establishes Imperial Blue Gin as the vibrant spirit of Naija youth culture.

The outcome of the project was more than just a refreshed look — it was a transformation
